Last year, Tesla presented solar roof tiles last year. They look like regular roof tiles and have equivalent efficiency of traditional solar power gathering cells. They will be up for order starting in April, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

In Singapore, architects have designed a bus stop with embedded technology all powered by solar energy.

On Monday, Dubai completed a new solar plant. The plant is large enough to power 50,000 homes as part of a plan to cover three-quarters of the energy consumed in Dubai from renewables by 2050.
"It is the second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Solar Park, which is set to pump out a total of 1,000 megawatts by 2020, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority said."
